Chicago Symphony Orchestra

On December 2nd, Richel and I watched the Chicago Symphony Orchestra play works by Josephy Haydn. Specifically, they played Symphony No. 60 in C Major, Violin Concerto No. 4 in G Major, and Symphony No. 98 in B-flat Major. This was the first time I've been to a professional symphony. All the other ones I've been to were usually high school performances. This one was conducted by Pinchas Zukerman and he also performed a violin concerto. I wish my brother and nieces and nephew could watch his performance, as they are all violinists, too, and would undoubtedly be inspired by Zukerman.
They even had a soft-spoken deep-voiced guy start talking about the background of the music before the music got underway, just like the guy on the radio.

Thanks for taking me out to the symphony. I really enjoyed Zuckerman's violin concerto.
